Silvano CINCOTTI - Professor

Silvano Cincotti (ME 1990, PhD 1994) is professor of Economics and Finance at the University of Genoa. In 1992, he was visiting researcher at the Max-Planck-Institut in Mainz, Germany. From 1993 to 1998 he was assistant professor at the University of Cagliari. From 1998 to 2004 he was associate professor at the University of Genoa.

  • Silvano Cincotti is founder and head of I2 research group. He is co-founder and head of the Center for Interdisciplinary Research on Economics and Financial Engineering (CINEF) and co-founder of the Research Center on Organization Science, Economics and Managements (DOGE). Silvano Cincotti is the author of more then 180 scientific articles.
    He presently servers on the editorial boards of the Journal of Economic Interaction and Coordination, of the Journal of Complexity Economics, of the Evolutionary and Institutional Economics Review, of the International Journal of Automation and Computing and of the International Journal of Complexity in Applied Science and Technology.
    His scientific activities have been carried on within more than 50 national and international project grants. Silvano Cincotti is Coordinator of EU FP6 IST-FET Project EURACE (2006-10) and of EU FP7 GSS Project SYMPHONY (2013-16).
    Silvano Cincotti is member of the AiIG, of the ESHIA and of the SCE.
